Quantum Biopower started its 1.2 MW combined-heat-and-power (CHP) unit Tuesday, adding a new source of renewable power to Southington, Connecticut. Officials from the Town of Southington were on hand for the official start of the generating unit.

Town Manager Matthew B. Galligan is working with Quantum Biopower to bring a bio-recycling facility to town.
